oh my goodness, still recovering from shock....still jumping up and down with excitement! ok, so today me and somebody else were sitting in math (pre-alg.) after taking our quizzes, and my teacher pulled us out into the hall.... i was thinking
what did i do? did I do something to make her mad? This, was fortuneatly not the case. No, she said when she had got us out there... " you guys aren't in trouble or anything like that."
whew! relief... "There's this national math competition that I want you two to comepete in." so, I was like,
what? and I was stunned.... She said that you take a thirty minute test, and I guess if you do well you go on, but she said that we'd probably be ont he news if we did well, and stuff like that.... i don't think i want to be on the news! But, she said that there are 5 practice sessions, adn she's sending home info.... my goodness, this is too good to be true!!!

the tree
we got a fake tree this year, boo hoo! I really liked the real ones we got every other year, but I guess I'll have toget used to this one even though it just looks so FAKE! There were a lot of trees at the stores that looked more real than this one, but we got one that wasn't $300. So, I guess that's good. I'm just going to have to get used to it, that's all. There's no smell of evergreen int he house now, and no need for watering it, I miss that. Well, anyhow, i'd better go! tttyl

butt hurts
was doing axels again today..now my butt hurts majorly. and my hip...I fell funny on it. not that it was funny that I fell on my hip, just an akward position... yeah, I am going to eat an ice cream sandwich after I finish my science homework cause I don't want to do it, and ice cream's an insentive. I like ice cream. I don't like my English teacher. My mom's going to the play with us for English, and i told her that not in any world or under any circumstances would I sit by him. She just acted like, 'whatever'.
I got my new program in skating! it was hilarious. I like the music. It's 2:04 long. and I (by the way, that's not 2 hours and 4 minutes, it's 2 minutes and 4 seconds for those of you who owere wondering) I tried it with the music and totally bombed it, and didn't know whre I was...it was funny. anyhow, I'll be going now to eat ice cream after science homework.

yay, yay, yay!
It's a good day. actually, it's been a good long weekend!!! on Thursday I got all the required chores done so I could sleep over at my friend's house....
that was really fun.... anyhow, I broght chocolate cake and that was fabulous. And we stayed up until 5:00 in the morning...that was rad. And we had caffeine and went shopping the next day for about as long as we had slept. (5 hours). We tried on prom dresses in the dressing room and took pix. It was fun. Then, I went home and left again to baby-sit. It was fun up until about 7:00. I was giving the baby his bottle, and he pulled on my necklace (white one with pearls that I made with dental floss) and broke it! I was so sad! But I can fix it. Anyways, I went to skating the next morning and didn't even attempt any double loops...last time i did that I fell on my tailbone and am still in pain from it. So, I think that'll wait until mon. night. I went to the mall with Mandy (MOA) and that was AWESOME! I actually bought a formal dress for the Christmas formal at my church. It's so cute!!! It's red and comes down to almost my knees. And It is straight across onthe bodice. It is gathered inthe top.... And it has pretty red sequins all over it. I love it! I'm sop excited to wear it! maybe I'll get to wear it mor ethan once... the regular price onthis dress was $59.00, and it was.... well alot off. Total Price; $14.75~ pretty awesome, huh? it wasn't as expensive as most of the dresses, so I got lucky. It's so georgeuos! that's not how you spell georgeuos, but who cares? whatev. YAYAYAYAYAYAY! And today I get to go to Crossfire. yay!
YAY! LONG WEEKEND!
YAY! WE HAVE A LOOOONG WEEKEND! NO SCHOOL FOR.... APPROX. 96 HOURS! YAY! Ok, anyhow, that's exciting... so, today in youth group in the worship part. We have actually two worship parts. We have one at the beginninga nd one at the end. I love these times because I like to imagine that it's just me and Jesus in the room. No one else is there. I can just worship him. I love just closing my eyes and picturing just me standing and worshipping God in the room. I don't think about what other people think about me or how I worship.. I just think about Jesus and how awesome he is. He is amazing. We sang the best songs tonight! I loved them! Anyhow, I might be singing again next week in youth group. I sang two weeks ago... fun, nerve-wracking for a bit, but then I thought,
who cares what they think of me? I mean, only God's opinion matters! so then I was fine. I feel mroe comfortable in front of crowds then I used to. it's very nice. ok, anyways, ttyl!

So, today I'm at school doing soem research on Geroge Frederic Handel. Turns out that he had a pretty interesting life! I found so much stuff on him, but could only print out 20 pages on him at school just because I don't think that using all their paper will be a good thing. Anyhow, I'll look up more when I get home. It'll be just jolly. Yay. I needed chocolate today in third period. So right before 4th period I begged one of my friends for a fastbreak. It was great. I just love chocolate. I left all of mine at home. Not that I didnt have that much, no way...i had a ton. I just left it at home because I didn't think they'd let us eat it. Little did i knwo that my Bible teacher (1st period) said that if we had it with us we could eat i! Phooey. I was sad. Whatever, even though i wish I had gotten the memo... anyways, ttyl!Ashley
