Just my thoughts...
"John said to them all, 'I baptize you with water. But One who is more powerful than I am will come. I am not good enough to UNTIE THE STRAPS OF HIS SANDALS. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." Luke 3:16Monday, June 26, 2006
Oh, I love going ot the library, you may think I'm just plain crazy, but if you love the library too, then you'll understand. my reasons? 1) FREE INTERNET ACCESS! 2) Great books at my fingertips! 3) I fnd new books all the time that I end up loving, and sometimes they even earn the title os "one of my favorite books" That's only three, but I just love the library.
This week my sister is gone. That's a good thing and a bad thing. I will miss her like heck, but I will be glad that I can have the house to myself sometimes. I really do love her though.... anyway, she's on a mission trip in Tennessee, and she'll be gone for the whole week. They had to drive down there in vans for 16 HOURS! They watched movies for part of the way though, so that must have cut some of the boringness. (is that even a word???) She called when they got to indianapolis where they spent the night, and said hi. I didn't get to talk to her for long though. Boo hoo!
at Dunn Bro. this week they have the most awesome deal! whatever the temp. was the previous day at noon, their 16 oz. coffee coolers are that price! Too good to be true? Well, it's just the one in Maple Grove, so that's all. We got ours for $.59 each yesterday, and we plan to go everyday!! My mom said we might even get sick of coffee coolers, but I don't think so. I am a coffee fanatic for those of you who don't know. I love coffee! It is just marvelous.
I went to a movie with a friend yesterday too. And my parents actualy paid for it!!! They hardly ever pay for that kind of stuff! It's not really fair, 'cause they pay me $2.50 a week for allwoance, and you can barely get anything with that. Also, even though I baby-sit that totally depends on if my clients even call me! It's not a very reliable source of income, but it's all I can do at this age. Anyway, the movie we saw was Hoot. I liked it alot. it was funny and cute. I thin anybody would like it. My friend had already seen it, so since we missed the first few miutes of the movie she filled me in.
Yes, so now I'm just typing away at the library, waiting for 12:45 to come, 'cause my mom is picking me up then. She went to lunch with a really nice lady from our church. So, een though they are right across the street, I am waiting for them to pick me up. I should go now.....

Well, everything with our first flight to Boston was fine, and we spent some time in Boston before going to our hotel. We shopped around, and walked around Harvard's campus, where a lot of presidents have gone including George W. Bush. I think I might want to go there! It's a beautiful campus, and it was built in the 1600's. Pretty old, eh? Then, we drove 11/2 hours into the cape, and to our adorable hotel. Well, actually it was a motel, but it was really nice, so I'm not sure why it was classified as a motel. Anyways, our room had a balcony overlooking the marina and pool. The next day we went on the Cape Cod railroad, for brunch, and I had striped ravioli!! It was the vegetarian dish, surprise, surprsise!! It was really cool, but it rocked and swayed a lot, and I personally thought we were going to fall off the tracks!! Anyways, after that we shopped around, and went back to our hotel where a wrote a postcard to all myfriends that I hope to send soon! LOL. Anyhow, the next day we took the early ferry to Nantucket. (island off of the cape) Really fun. Everything there is so cute! All the houses have cedar shingle siding, and shutters, and all cost one or two million dollars!! It is so expensive to live there! We looked at a house guide for fun, and found a house, not really like grand, but it was $13, 000, 000!!! Amazing how much they think they can charge for those things!! Yes, well then I found a sweatshirt, and wore it back to the mainland, and since the boat was windy and I was cold, I hid inside it. I bought it big, so I could fit my entire body except my feet in it!! yes, i am really wonderwoman!! secret identity...
The next day we slept in, and ate a leisurely breakfast, and stole muffins from the continental breakfast to eat later. Well, I wouldn't really call it stole, because they were free.... Sothen I spent an entire day tanning and swimming. I now have a tan that I am immensly proud of. now We ate dinner out that night, as we did every night. We went to a fancy italian restaurant, and we had a curmudgeon waiter (a loveable grump) who was interesting. Here's a story: I ordered a baked potato and salad. it was 10.95. BUT, since we were eating early, we got an early-bird special. So, -4.00 per person. So it would actually be 6.95. He made the weirdest face, and told me I was spending too much, and looked at the kids menu. (I was ordering off the adults) He looked at it and said, "Get the linguini, that comes with a salad, and it's only 6.95. Or the prime rib (YUCK!!), that comes with a potato. 10.95 is too much to spend." I just said "I think I'm just gonna stick to my potato and salad." He made a face, but that's what I got. When I asked for cheese for my potato, he came backwith parmesan cheese which whasn't what I was expecting, and i don't really like, and he said "tell me when to stop" so i said when I wanted him to stop. "That's good" and as he kept grinding said "r u sure" "yes" "really?" "yes". Then he stopped. FINALLY!!! An interesting guy, that George. He was from Italy. So, then, on te next day, we had to leave before 11:00, so we went back to Boston 'cause our airport was there. We walked the Freedom trail which goes around Boston and stops at historical sights. i saw Paul Revere's tomb, his house, Ben Franklin's family's tomb, Mother goose's grave, Old North Church where the American's in the Revolutionary war saw that the british were coming. They lit candle's in the window so that they could know which way the british were coming by, landor sea. It was funny, because in the church they had stalls for each family, dating back to 1724. So, it had the family's name on it that would have sat there every week. it was pretty cool. Then, it took us and hour and a half to find the airport, andalmost missed our first flight that had a layover in Chicago. Our next flight back to MN was delayed, so we hung out in the Chicago airport for a while. Then, when we finally got on our flight, entire flight. I was so annoyed~~I kept thinking I'm going to tell them," Be quiet, just beacuse you're drunk doesn't mean you can just be rude!" But I never did. too bad that i didn't. Anyway, our flight landed at 11:30 pm, and we got home at almost 1:00. As you can see, I was pretty tired. I just finished unpacking!! That's pretty much it, long enough for you? Yeah, so this next week I'n helping out with VBS, I'm doing music, and being an assistant teacher.

Summer, ah! And Cape Cod
Ah, I'm really happy right now. life is going well, and I'm going to Cape Cod tomorrow. Things couldn't be better. Yeah, so I am packing and doing laundry today, and all that junk to get readty for the trip!!! Totally exciting! I hope someone reads this and shares in my joy! I love going on trips. They are so fun! i think everybody should be able to go on a vacation at least once every other year. our famiy isn't exactly rich, so we don't go all that often, and usually it's for a short amount of time. The east coast is really expensive to go to also, so we just can't stay that long, but I think it's going to be really fun!Besides packing and doing laundry, I have been doing esome funthings, tell you guys (the loyal folks who actually reads these) later!

Hello, Summer!
Hey Peeps!I have had a most loverly summer break so far. Yesterday I lounged around, and my sister came home from a training retreat up at our camp. She said she had a lot of fun on the whole, but parts of it didn't sound fun to me. They had to clear a part of a soon-to-be soccer field completely of rocks from 1:30 to 5:00. They were in a clearing, so nothing kept them from the hot sun, and they had to pick up huge rocks and put them in buckets, they were really heavy. She got soooo dirty, and not everybody at the retreat had to do it, just the people who weren't in a session. It was okay, I guess, though.
Tonight and tomorrow night I am going to be staying at some friends-of-the -family's house, and my parents are in Chicago. My mom will shop all day, and my dad is there on business. It'll be fun at these people's house, though 'cause we'll go there at 5:00 tonight, and then We'll eat dinner out with the husband, (I'm just going to call him Bob) Bob, and then we're going to go to Barnes and Noble to hang for a while. The wife, ('m going to call her Sally) Sally, is in some classes, so she won't be home until about 9:00. Oh well, then, the next day, My sis and I will sleep in, and then Sally will come at lunchtime and pick us up, and we'll go to her school! She's a teacher, and we're going to help her clean up and stuff. Those kiddos are still in school! Then, later that day, we're going to go back to their house and make homeade ice cream. It's going to be really fun. Then, on Wednesday morning, Bob will make French toast, and take us home. Sounds like a nice getaway, eh? Well, it's all I get until we go to Cape Cod for four days on the tenth!!!!
We are going to spend three days and four nights in Boston, Massachusetts. We'll spend three of the nights at a hotel called the Anchor-In, and they are right on Cape Cod. Then we'll spend one night at a hotel in Boston, and I have no idea what it's called. We're going to go on the Freedom Trail walk, and see some cool sights. It's going to be fun! Oh, well, I guess I'd better go~
ttyl,
